Augustus Brown Architects

Profile

We design spaces that endure — architecturally, environmentally, and emotionally.

Augustus Brown Architects works across the full spectrum of the built environment: from the sensitive restoration of listed buildings and the careful reinvention of properties within conservation areas, to bespoke contemporary retail, art, and high-end residential commissions. Our projects span London, the Cotswolds, and the wider UK, with an international reach extending to New York and Los Angeles.

Heritage and sustainability are at the heart of our practice. As RIBA Conservation Register architects, we bring rigour and genuine care to historically significant buildings — understanding that the most responsible architecture begins with what already exists, and that enduring quality is inseparable from fine craftsmanship. We apply the same discipline to environmental performance, designing spaces that are as efficient and healthy to inhabit as they are beautiful.

We have no house style. Every project is bespoke — shaped by close listening and by the specific demands of the client, the building, and its context. The result is architecture of considered detail and careful material selection: spaces that are distinctive, deeply personal, and a genuine pleasure to be in.

The best projects begin with the right relationship. If you are considering a restoration, a new commission, or simply exploring what might be possible, we welcome the opportunity to listen and to help you find the full potential of your building.
